What's better than having a weekend off from exactly everything? Nothing I tell you. Sleeping in on Saturdays, and getting up early on Sundays, to have a terrific breakfast, it's all great. But the best thing is that you can loiter around the house most of the day, and only go outside to walk the dogs. I remember promising myself that I should work this weekend... I didn't. I can do it tomorrow... I guess. Well, anyway, in a week fall vacation starts, and I will be off from school for a week. Yay!



So, yesterday =vouchiiri linked me the Bleach movie 3, Fade to Black. Well, I had decided that I'd wait for Dattebayo's version, but the temptation got too big, and I ended up watching it online. (Turns out that a few hours after I went to sleep last night, Dattebayo released their version of the movie.) It looked interesting from the beginning to the end, but I can't help but say that I'm still a bit disappointed... where's the IchiRuki action everyone were talking about? ENOUGH WITH THE ICHIRUKINESS ALREADY So, anyway, because the movie was such a disappointment, I've decided to write a new oneshot, or maybe start a new fic about IchiRuki. But that'll happen in the future. Not now, because as you know, I don't have time, and I really should finish Dangerous Breeze. To get back on track again, I gotta say that I liked the scene where Rukia cried and screamed because of the siblings. It was so heartbreaking, and cute... naw.

Where's my drawing skills? Where's my writing skills? Where's my activeness? Where's my mind? Where's my private life? I gotta tell you, these questions keep piling up on each other all the time. It's been... almost a month. In three days, a month, since I last updated my journal. I've been really busy with school, and as it looks like now, this business will continue in about.. a month or two. I'm doing this huge project for my Swedish class, and therefore my free time is mostly spent by working on it. Also, my school days are really long. It's only during this term though. Next term'll be easier, a lot easier.
I'm really sorry to everyone I've promised to do something for. For example, the ones I'm beta reading for, I'm really sorry guys, but I can't finish my beta'ing now. I don't have time enough. I know it's a promise and I'm going to keep it, but only if you still have patience with me, even though I'm not going to be able to beta something until .. about a month.
Oh, and to everyone who probably thought it was annoying to read the title of the journal because it wasn't centered, I've fixed it now! Finally, haha.



So, this month was the awesome Mangapäivä (Manga Day). I attended the convention with my friend Gidi. None of us cosplayed, though. We had so much fun and we were so excited all the time. There were so many tables and merchandise to check out. I took a quick decision as we saw the tables, that I'm not going to waste all my money on all the... cool stuff.
The cosplay competition. Man, there were quite some awesome cosplayers there. I just sat there and wished that I'd be among them, but my costume isn't done yet. It was quite a show, and the AMVs shown during the voting were terrific
After the competition we decided to check out some of the tables we didn't have time to check on. I've been craving for Pocky for months, and when I saw the table with Pocky I got... beyond excited. I bought four packages, and I've been really careful and tried to keep my Pocky to a minimum, but I've obviously failed hard.
After looking around a while and buying some stuff we decided to go get something to eat. We were really hungry and desperately followed our instincts, and after that I had tripped and fell in the middle of the road, we ended up in McDonald's. I paid for our food, we ate it, and our epic quest for getting into the bathroom started. It cost 1 euro to get into the bathroom. I checked my wallet and noticed that I didn't have any coins. We waited for the door to open by someone inside, but no one came. Suddenly, very magically, I found an 1 euro coin in my wallet, and paid to get us inside. That was the end of our epic quest.
We decided to go back to the con venue to hang out a bit, so we returned without falling in the middle of the road. As I earlier mentioned, I had tried to keep my hands off the stuff I wanted, and try to save as much money as possible. Well, that pretty much failed too. I used almost all my money, and here I am, broke again. I didn't buy much, but I bought.. pretty expensive things.
But hey, it was yet a best day ever to add to the collection of best days ever.

It's been great to write this... comeback journal. Excuse me now, as I return to the quest of walking my dogs, and to the amazing land of homework. Thanks for reading, everyone

It's been... a crazy week. I've had a cold like never before! It's been horrible and my temperature has just hopped from high to low. It's been annoying, tough, tiring, and whatnot! I'm currently recovering pretty good, even though I still have this terrible cough, that just seems to get worse, for some reason. I don't have much to update with, but all I can provide my dear watchers out there, is actually more memes. I'm not a that interesting person, but I try to entertain you guys as well as I can. All right, guys. It's time for another unnecessary update! This week was my first week at school. It's been great, yet tiring. It's great to have a weekend off now. Anyway, I guess I've been tagged, because ~N-T-W added me to the list at the end of this meme as I told her that I'm awesum, haha. Here goes!

◆ When did you start drawing?
I started drawing when I could hold a pen in my hand and draw a single strike with it. From that day on, I've tried to improve my skills.

◆ Which hand do you use for drawing?
I'm right handed, so I guess I use the right hand.

◆ Which is easier to draw - male or female?
On dogs, it doesn't matter, because they look the same. But in humans, I guess females are easier, they usually have longer hair than males, and I have problems with hair.

◆ Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Talking about humans, I'd say long hair. When I draw short hair, I don't really know how to stylize it in a nice, correct way.

◆ Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
I don't think it matters, but I usually draw heads facing to the left, because I always do, haha.

◆ Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Side view.

◆ What do you have problems in drawing?
Humans, and any other things that does not involve a canine.

◆ What do you like to draw?
Canines, challenging backgrounds and not too colourful pictures.

◆ Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Mostly, Digital.

◆ Where do you start drawing from?
After scribbling up a sketch, I usually start off with the muzzle of the dog, if human, the cheek.

◆ What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
To always spend lots of time on something, but still not end up entirely happy with the result.

◆ Any tips for coloring/shading?
To always think about colour harmony. Never do two radically different colours. And shading... just go crazy! Try what technique you like, and remember to have a clue of where the light source is (I use to cheat on that, haha)

◆ How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
If I really put all of my strength and heart into it, it can take a few days, not working non-stop of course, and usually I spend 5-15 hours on my best pieces. If it's just a quickie it can take from a few seconds to an hour

◆ What music do you listen to while you draw?
I usually listen to something that inspires me, or fits the mood in the picture I'm drawing. If I concentrate much on the drawing, I don't really care about what I'm listening to.

◆ How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Ideas just pop out of my head like that, and I start scribbling, but there's always something that I'm not happy with, and usually, I end up changing it.

◆ Your favorite drawing utensils?
Tablet, PhotoShop CS3, Easy Paint Tool SAI, normal colour pencils or just plain pencils.

◆ Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
A bluegreyish colour. I love blue, but not like completely plain blue, I like it a bit greyish or skyish.

◆ Your favorite style(s)?
Realism and cartoony. I don't even know if you could call it manga/anime but I guess that too.

◆ What kind of artist are you aiming for?
I'm aiming to become an artist that'll be appreciated for drawing what they draw, and that I'll become really good.

The first thing that probably everyone pointed out when seeing this journal entry would be, "HEY, A NEW CSS!" And yes! I finally made a new CSS, and I used lots of tutorials and look, I even made my own one. Hah, I'm so proud of myself. It's such a pleasure to use these colours, because Dust is blue, and Finland's flag is white and blue. I didn't even mean it to be like this, it just turned out like this. I hope you guys like it. At least I am proud of it.
The second thing you guys probably pointed out would be, "HEY IT'S BEEN A WEEK SINCE THE LAST UPDATE!" and yes, it has. I've been lazy, again. This week is the last week before my school starts, and after that I'll be even more busy. *grunt* Please, bear with me, people. I luv you too much to have you being mad at me.
So, I've been pretty busy these three days, so I thought I'd give this journal entry to write something and sum up these three events. Hope you guys'll enjoy reading a wall of text. If not, I apologize.


On Saturday, me and my family spent the day in the amusement park, Särkänniemi, in Tampere. I had such a great time, and went onto many rides with my Dad and my brother. My Mom didn't really like all the 'dangerous' rides, so therefore she just followed us in the water rides. I was really wet after one of them, where I got soaked by a waterfall. Some kids laughed at me (they were in the same boat with me) when I complained a bit. Then I got to try out the newest ride, Tyrsky. The line was long and I had to wait for quite a long time before I got onto it, but I have to say, it wasn't worth the waiting. The ride wasn't really much to brag about, but it was entertaining for a while. I also went to see the dolphin show. I really love Särkänniemi's dolphin shows, they're so awesome. The dolphins are cute. And well, lots of things happened, and I was really worn out when I got home.


The Rock festival, Ankkarock was held in Korso this year. It started on Saturday, and continued on Sunday. I attended on Sunday, because my favourite band, Sonata Arctica, played that evening. Volbeat and Apulanta were also there. When we got to Korso, Apulanta had already started playing. I had waited to see them, but for some reason, they were really lame that day. We left early from their gig, and continued to the other stages to look around. I bought a Sonata Arctica 2009 Tour shirt, and an Ankkarock 2009 shirt. Then we had something quick to eat, then we headed back to the first stage, to check out Turisas, because a friend of ours had said that Turisas' gigs were great, and goddammit, they were awesome. They were hilarious and awesome. Then we left to walk back to the other stages, and got to see the end of Eppu Normaali's performance. It was a bit... lame too. Then we just walked around, waiting for Volbeat's gig to start. When it finally started, it was so crowded that me and my brother were stuck inbetween some drunk people. We got tired of the drunkos around us, and just moved back. We enjoyed the gig better in the back, around people who weren't drunk. Volbeat was hilarious and great too. After their gig, we sat down in front of the stage, to wait for Sonata Arctica to start playing. I was talking to some other Sonata fans that asked me if I had been to a Sonata Arctica gig the day before, but I hadn't. This was my second time seeing Sonata Arctica live, and god, the performance was the greatest ever! I was really sad because I couldn't bring my camera with me, instead I had to use my crappy phone. I might upload pictures of that later, if I find any that are good enough.


I woke up around 9AM, taking a shower and getting dressed. I read on the Spamkaki about Suvi's, ~Tahmis feelings about the meeting. She seemed to be more nervous about how to get there than meeting me. I smiled. I wasn't nervous at all. Well, I got into the car, starting my little 1 hour travel to the zoo, Korkeasaari, to meet her. I just listened to music and texted to her. Her trip to the zoo had gone well, and she was waiting for me. I wasn't nervous at all, but when we pulled in onto the parking lot where Suvi was waiting, I just stepped out of the car, and my heart started pounding like never before. I looked around, and saw her, sitting on a rock. I swallowed, and took firm steps, closer and closer. I was thinking out something great to say. And I ended up saying "Terve" (Hello) in Finnish. I probably sounded really awkward and weird. Suvi looked up at me, smiling and saying hi. We then started walking along a gravel path, both laughing of awkwardness. She asked if I was nervous and I just answered "Like hell." and then we just walked... and walked... awkward silence. Then we started talking a bit, after payingg the tickets to the zoo. We walked over a long bridge, stopping by a map to check where we should go. We decided to check out birds (yay, exciting) first. We ended up circling a path, coming to the place where we started. After a while, we made our way and just started touring around the zoo. She seemed to remember how excited I was about to see the Baboons, haha. So we went to check out them. We even missed their feeding time! Nooo! But anyway, so we toured around the zoo, me gaining more and more confidence to talk to Suvi. We stopped at some café, and started drawing. We drew boring stuff and after a while, we decided to go to the frog house. We ended up outside some restaurant after that, laughing at kids that ate ice cream that melted, while we ate our own food. After that Suvi told me an interesting thing about red wine, and I started laughing, choking on my saliva, Suvi being really concerned if I was okay. Later on, we were back at the café that we were at the first time we stopped. I started feeding the peafowls that walked around freely. First I just threw small bread bits to them. Then I thought I was gonna be hardcore and cool and feed them from my hand. The peafowl ate nicely from my hand, twice, but the third time, it bit me in the finger. It didn't hurt, because it's a fracking bird and they don't have teeth, but Suvi asked me three times if I was okay. I probably have some bird flu or something now. The whole day, I talked about shooting everyone. Only as a joke, I don't shoot people. We taped a video for Elsie, ~Arbitors, because she's in Sweden and can't just come over here for a few hours. Stupid. Then we made our way back to the parking lot, buying a souvenir for Elsie, and then ended up on the rock where we met. We watched kids climbing on some bear statues, mostly falling and crying, but it was entertaining. Then my parents came to get me, and Suvi hugged me goodbye, and I went home. This was the best day in my entire life.
